Roberto Rébora nació en Guadalajara, Jalisco, en 1963. Siendo autodidacta, inició su carrera artística en 1977. En 1984 fue becado por el editor Enrico Valecchi, lo que le permitió ingresar a la Scuola d’Arte il Bisonte en Florencia. Durante el periodo 2000-2006 formó parte del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte FONCA. En 2011 ganó la XV Bienal de Pintura Rufino Tamayo. Dirige Taller Ditoria, editorial que realiza ediciones de autor tipográficas, manufacturadas.
