Conferenciante y profesora desde entonces, ingresa en el Carmelo de Colonia en 1934. En su condición de judía, asume el calvario de su pueblo, es detenida por la Gestapo en 1942 y trasladada a Auschwitz. Fue beatificada en Colonia en 1987 y canonizada en Roma en 1998.
