  • De la genealogía de la moral la escribió Nietzsche en veinte días, entre el 10 y el 30 de julio de 1887; a excepción de algunas hojas sueltas, notas fragmentarias y el manuscrito definitivo para impresión, no se han conservado los textos preparatorios de este «escrito polémico». La impresión, que corrió a cuenta del propio Nietzsche, se realizó entre agosto y octubre del mismo año; la corrección de las galeradas la hicieron entre Nietzsche y Köselitz. El 12 de noviembre recibió Nietzsche los primeros ejemplares: Zur Genealogie der Moral. Eine Streitschrift, Leipzig, 1887, Verlag von C. G. Naumann.
