Author: David Mamet
David Mamet nació en Chicago en 1947. Estudió en el Goddard College de Vermont y en el Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre de Nueva York. Ha dado clase en el Goddard College, en la Yale Drama School, y en la New York University. Estrenó sus primeras obras en la St. Nicholas Theatre Company, Chicago, de la que fue miembro fundador y director artístico. Es autor de obras de teatro ya clásicas en el repertorio norteamericano: American Buffalo (Obie Award), Perversidad sexual en Chicago, Una vida en el teatro, Glengarry Glen Ross (Premio Pulitzer en drama), Edmond, Oleanna, El Criptograma... Ha escrito y dirigido las películas La casa de juegos, Las cosas cambian, Homicidio, Oleanna, El prisionero español, El chico de los Winslow, State and Main, Heist, The Diary of a Young London Physician. También ha escrito numerosos guiones de cine para otros directores: El cartero siempre llama dos veces, El veredicto, Los Intocables, No somos ángeles, Hoffa, Ronin, Hannibal...
