Esta obra muestra la selección y recopilación de las escrituras que los vecinos de Yaiza otorgaron ante los escribanos públicos de la isla. En estos documentos, es posible apreciar cómo se ha ido configurando el territorio sureño, con la presencia de personas y familias de diversos orígenes que se van asentando en distintos lugares de la zona, así como la naturaleza agraria de la actividad económica que se desarrolló, los caminos que se transitaban y las ropas que se vestían. Esta información está ordenada cronológicamente y extractada de acuerdo a las normas al uso, haciendo referencia al tipo de documento otorgado a los escribanos. La colección se acompaña con un índice que remite a las materias y a los topónimos y antropónimos que figuran en los textos. Abstract This work shows a selection and compilation of the deeds that the residents of Yaiza gave to the notaries of the island. In these documents, we can appreciate how this southern territory has been organized, with the presence of people and families from diverse origins who gradually settled in different places of the area. These documents also show other relevant information, such as the agrarian nature of the economic activity that developed, the paths where these people moved and the clothes they wore. This information is presented in chronological order and summarized according to the regulation in force, making reference to the type of document presented to the notaries. This collection comes with an index of topics, places and names which appear in the texts.
