Sin embargo, es en esa década donde encontramos los primeros discursos de legitimación franquista, anteriores todavía al fin de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, y, por lo tanto, abiertamente alineados con la Alemania nazi y la Italia fascista. También en esa década, pero ya tras la victoria aliada, se produjeron los filmes con que el franquismo adaptó su discurso oficial a las nuevas circunstancias políticas, si bien preservando sus fundamentos ideológicos originales.
